Welcome from the Goshen Vermont Historical Society
The Goshen Vermont Historical Society (GVTHS) was formed in 2022 for the purpose of researching, documenting, preserving and revealing the rich history of Goshen and its people.
GVTHS is a 501c3 non-profit registered with the State of Vermont and receives no outside support. It depends on dues and fundraising to fund all activities.
We welcome all new members and if you are interested in helping with and/or supporting these endeavors, please join today!
Several membership levels are available from student through supporting membership. We also offer a lifetime membership. Annual dues are to be renewed each December.
All new members will receive a membership packet delivered via email to save costs. If you prefer a mailed copy, please send an email to membership@goshenhistoryvt.org.
GVTHS is actively working on a number of fundraising events for 2023. In December 2022 we hosted our first event remembering those from Goshen that served in the Civil War. We hosted a World War 2 event in May of 2023.
Additionally, GVTHS works collaboratively with the Select board. GVTHS is working on several grant opportunities to be used for the improvement and ADA compliance of the Town Hall.
If you have historical photos or information you would like to add to our work in archiving Goshen’s rich history, please let us know.
The Goshen Vermont Historical Society meets on the first Monday of every month at 7 pm at the Goshen Town Hall. All are welcome.
